Chalmette Track Club’s Annual Race with a new twist.....
On Sunday. December 13th, CTC will have its annual 10 mile race with a 2miler. This year’s race is as much
different as it is special. Runners competing in the ten miles race will have the opportunity to run past such
historical sites as the Domino Sugar refinery, the LeBeaux house, the old St. Bernard Parish jail as well as
familiar race course sites like the Chalmette monument and the Packenham ruins. The staging area of the race
is Torres Park on the Dr. Mereaux side (this is a slight change from the original Jean Lafitte side). The race
will begin promptly at 8 am. Post race party will follow with music by Mason Punch
If you are interested in volunteering to work this race, please contact either

Enjoy the Christmas Season with CTC Friends....
Once again Liz and Fred Lotz have graciously agreed to host CTC’s annual Christmas party at their lovely
home. The party is on Sunday, December 20th from noon until 5pm at 4101 River Road in Jefferson (70121) ,
located next to Jefferson Playground (Don’t worry, Saints Fans–the game is on Saturday night).
Liz will prepare a pork roast. The party is potluck, so feel free to bring a side, snack, or dessert. If you would
like to coordinate with Liz about food, contact her at elotz@us-risk.com or 277- 4039.
